The desire to create a healthy, pleasant and loving community drew me towards studying the science of life - Ayurveda and its sister science Yoga. I am a post graduate, Ayurvedic Doctor from India, belonging to the family of ancestral expertise of Ayurveda and Yoga, who have been in practice for more than 40 years. I feel fortunate to be trained in both Eastern (Ayurveda), and Western medicine along with Yoga under a structured integrated university 8.5-year program. I completed the Bachelor’s degree in Ayurveda from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, Maharashtra and Master’s Degree in Ayurveda from SDM College and Research Centre of Excellence, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka. With the vision to collaborate Eastern time-tested wisdom with Western evidenced based treatment modalities and deeper my understanding in regard to the psycho-emotional roots to health and disease, I completed master’s in arts in clinical psychology from Eisner institute of professional studies, Encino, California and earned the marriage and family associate licensure.
Adding to my extensive studies, I am also an Internationally Certified Yoga Teacher from one of the most refined and oldest school of Yoga in the world, The Yoga Institute, Mumbai. Winning scores of accolades and appreciations in National & International Ayurvedic research presentations, sports and authoring several publications in Ayurveda is an addition to the profile.
I have been affiliated with the Beverly Hills Headache Institute, providing Ayurveda as well as Therapeutic Yoga treatments to the patients with great success. Have also been affiliated with Winning Smiles - Ayurveda & Dental (India) since 2007. Prompting the concept of “health for all” I have been teaching and educating people from different background (doctors, nurses and staff in Cedar Sinai, Brotman hospitals; Students of Emperors college, Santa Monica; post graduate scholars; cultural and social communities, camps etc.) about the principles of Ayurveda in terms of harmonizing body, mind and spirit using natural modalities and ancient wisdom; and Therapeutic Yoga in India as well as in the US.
